As a board of Directors, we made a decision very early on that as soon as we were sustainable as a business, we would look to give back to local communities wherever possible. Our view was that it isn’t simply enough to chase personal success, but being able to do so, we should give something back.
We all feel that we are fortunate to be successful and help where we can, which gives an additional purpose to the work we do; to support causes close to our heart, and that give a greater impact to the community.

Forward Leeds
When Forward Leeds contacted us back in 2023, we instinctively jumped at the opportunity to work with them.
Forward Leeds provides support for adults, young people and families needing help with alcohol and drug use in Leeds.
Having the opportunity to help individuals get back into work is a great way for us to engage with the community and proactively help change lives.
We have heard so many inspirational stories of people’s lives that have turned around from the amazing support and guidance provided by Forward Leeds.
Leeds North and West Foodbank
As our directors met before Christmas time to discuss any opportunities to help local causes during the festive period, Leeds North and West Foodbank was an obvious choice to contribute to.
People go hungry for many reasons and simple box of food can make a huge difference.
We saw the great work their volunteers carry out on a regular basis to help tackle food poverty and hunger in our local communities and we wanted to help.
The Toy Appeal
Christmas can be hard time for many, the heart-warming work The Toy Appeal carries out in delivering a sack of toys at Christmas to children, between the ages of 2 – 17 years old, who live in poverty.
The Toy Appeal believes that every child deserves to experience the magic of Christmas and steps in to help Father Christmas do this for thousands of children every year.
We too, think that Christmas is such a special time for all children, and nobody should miss out on those precious moments of happiness, so support each year with a donation on behalf of all the team at Synergy FM.
Grassroots Sponsorships
Having young families, local sport is close to the heart of all our directors, and this has led to several sponsorships of local teams including Farsley Celtic, Swillington Saints and 1 Football Academy. All these organisations do fantastic work in their local areas. This has seen us help with the provision of kits, track suits and training equipment.
The hard work done by volunteers at local sports clubs is amazing and gives local children the opportunity to stay fit and healthy while focusing their energy on productive pastimes. With this in mind, we are now looking to develop these sponsorships with local grass roots Cricket and Netball teams in additional to the football clubs mentioned.
